Word of Life is looking for a ministry-minded, spiritually-oriented Automotive Technician to serve on our Property Services team. Responsibilities will include servicing, troubleshooting and repairing automobiles and trucks. This is an hourly position.

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive maintenance experience
• Diesel engine maintenance experience is preferred but not required
• Heavy equipment maintenance experience is preferred but not required
• Boat maintenance experience is preferred but not required

Word of Life Childrens Camps in NY are looking to hire a Summer Camp Medical Director for the 2024 summer season! This Seasonal position begins on June 16th and ends August 16th. Room/board and free camp for any dependent children within the correct age ranges for our Childrens Camps is included. This role acts as the Medical leadership at their particular camp, and reports to the Camp Assistant Director, and Medical Coordinator for all our Children’s Camps. This position is critical in providing medical oversight of their particular camp, direction for other camp nurses and medical staff, as well as documentation and reporting as needed.

• Current NY state licensure as a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, or licensed practical nurse.

• Review and comply with Camp Safety Plan
• Provide ongoing consultation services for health center staff
• Assist with resolving medication discrepancies at camp registrations
• Keep clear documentation of patient care through established Health Center systems
• Treat patients at all camps (Island, Ranch and Ridge)
• 6-day, 50-60 hour work week

Word of Life is looking for a ministry minded, spiritually oriented culinary professionals to help lead and oversee the day-to-day operations in our New York kitchens. This position not only includes leadership but the opportunity to be involved in the daily production of meals while maintaining the state health code and training and working with the other kitchen staff. This is a seasonal position running from June 9 to August 16, 2024

• A minimum of one year of culinary experience
• Able to manage and prioritize tasks
• A desire to work with and train young people
• Strong communication and relational skills
• Serve Safe Certification is preferred.

Word of Life is looking for a ministry-minded, spiritually-oriented professional
plumber/HVAC tech to serve on our Property Services team. Responsibilities will include completing plumbing and HVAC work orders as needed, assisting with new construction and upgrading existing buildings. Being on-call over the weekends on a rotating basis. Heating experience is required.

• Minimum of 4 years of heating experience
• Electrical experience is preferred but not required
• AC experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work as part of the Property Services team

The Word of Life Bible Institute located in Hudson, Florida is looking for a qualified instructor to teach a three semester-hour freshman-level Research and Writing course (45 class hours) over a 15-week period from September 3 to December 12, 2024. The student body numbers between 100-125 and meets as an entire class at the same time. The Academic Office will ensure the correction of all homework.

The description published in our academic catalog reads as follows:
This course is designed to help students succeed at the college level by providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge. The student will be taught helpful study skills (how to organize time, utilize a calendar and develop a priority list). The student will learn how to research effectively (using our campus library as well as their personal Logos software). The student will develop their ability to think critically (effectively synthesize information and evaluate the strength of that information), and they will be taught how to write clearly and effectively (using MLA formatting and properly quoting source material). Research and writing assignments for this course will focus on biblical and theological material covered in other Bible/Theology courses.

• Preferably a Master’s degree in some field of English (education, writing, research).

This is a seasonal position that starts in the late-Spring and ends late-Summer. The Customer Service Department is looking for an energetic and customer-oriented seasonal staff member. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, voicemails, emails, and meeting people’s needs by taking reservations and helping at camp registration. Applicants should have the ability to think quick on their feet and serve customers in a calm and pleasant manner.

There are opportunities available for Summer Seasonal Registered Nurses at our camps in New York from June 16, 2024 – August 16, 2024 and Florida from May 26, 2024 – July 26, 2024. We have volunteer and salary positions available which include room and board. We offer exciting, action and fun-packed weeks. As part of our nursing team, you will have opportunities to minister and to impact the lives of young people.

Duties include, but may not be limited to, camper and staff assessments, first aid, medication administration, documentation, health record review, rotation on call, daily shift report, communication with parents and coordinating the Health Center.
