Nehemiah Network - Meet the Staff

Butch (Paul) & Lesi Jarrell
Nehemiah Network Administrator

In September of 2000 I made a short term
mission trip which changed my life. For many
years, Lesi and I have felt a calling and desire for
ministry. This short term mission trip to Nigeria,
West Africa opened our heart and eyes for ministry.
This trip launched us into full time ministry with
Word of Life and the Nehemiah Network.

Lesi and I were both saved as young children
and raised in Christian homes by Godly
parents. We grew up in Church together and
have been involved in local Church ministries
since we were married in 1987.

We have three children: Casey, Colbie & Caitlyn.

Robert & Hollie French
Nehemiah Network Medical Coordinator

Almost immediately after being saved I felt God may be calling me into full time Christian service. I explored the many different types of ministries. I heard of Word of Life and Nehemiah Network while chaperoning the teens from our church to camp. I quickly went on a short term trip to Venezuela. This confirmed to me God’s calling. Hollie and the children both agree that they want to be involved in ministry to youth. We want to invest our lives helping youth to avoid the difficult life Hollie and I both experienced growing up.
We are coordinating the medical aspect of the Nehemiah Network Ministry of Word of Life. The Nehemiah Network offers unlimited ministry opportunities for work teams, health care teams, equipment donations, and professional services to help support the needs of the international missionaries of Word of Life. This is a greatly needed service ministry. We are excited about this opportunity to serve God through the ministry of the Nehemiah Network. Having an opportunity to invest our lives in world missions is eternally rewarding.

Ron & Pam Morton
Nehemiah Network Midwest Representative

Ron came to know the Lord when he was twelve and dedicated his life to missions service at fifteen years of age. He graduated from the WOL Bible Institute in 1973. Pam trusted Jesus as her Savior at the age of nine. She committed her life to the Lord at Camp Patmos when she was twelve. She attended one year at Prairie Bible Institute in 1974.

Ron and Pam attended the same church as teenagers and were married in 1975. After a few years they went to Ozark AK and attended Citadel Bible College. While there, the Lord impressed on both their hearts the desire to serve Him full-time on the mission field. In 1982, they were accepted with WOL and commissioned to serve in Chile. Their family of 6 arrived in Chile in 1986. Ron worked in the construction of the 12 acre camp property, drove the bus for the evangelistic campaigns, and worked in the local church and Bible club. Pam home schooled their children, worked with the summer camping staff and served as the leader of the ladies group at church.

Ron began taking work crews on short term mission trips while in Chile. In 1997, Ron joined the WOL Nehemiah Network. He has been on over 50 short term missions trips since 1997, traveled with hundreds of wonderful folks and has seen so many lives encouraged and challenged. It is their desire as they share the needs of our Word of Life ministries that people will join our teams and help us meet these ministry and personal needs across the world.

Today, 2008, their 4 children are married and living in 4 different states. They have 6 delightful grandchildren! If you are located in the Midwest, they’d love to share with you how together everyone can be involved in world wide missions with the Nehemiah Network.

Thanks for your interest in missions,
Ron & Pam

Terry & Beth Wisser
Nehemiah Network Work Team Coordinator

When I was a child growing up on a small farm I dreamed of traveling throughout the world. When I came to know Jesus Christ at age 25, my life took a dramatic turn to serving others instead of myself and this dream became a reality. From this point forward, my desire was to encourage and motivate others to help spread the Good News of the Gospel to a lost and dying world. The Lord has used the past 20 plus years in the construction/flooring trade, church leadership roles and the 2 years I attended the Word of Life Bible Institute to prepare me for full time ministry. These experiences and training in the Word have allowed me to minister to fellow staff missionaries abroad through Nehemiah Network’s short term work teams that are serving at Word of Life camp properties around the world.

Beth grew up in a Christian home and was saved at a young age. She went on to attend college at The Kings College in NY and received her master’s degree in special educational. In the summer of 1990 Beth was introduced to Terry and in the process she introduced Terry to Jesus Christ. We were married in Aug. of 1992 and immediately started looking for a church to become involved in. Beth and I joined Faith Bible Fellowship Church and became youth leaders to the junior high kids. After several years we became involved as senior high leaders as well.

It was at this point we were looking to take our young people to a winter retreat. Beth suggested the teens attend Snow camp at Word of Life Fellowship and this was our introduction to the ministry. In 1998 a small group from our home church came as volunteers to help in some construction projects and flooring work at Word of Life Island for summer camp. The Lord began to open the door for our family to consider full time ministry involving over seas missions trips doing construction projects for foreign mission fields.

My desire to know Gods Word more in depth led me to receive an education at Word of Life Bible Institute. Upon graduation of my second year I worked for 5 years as a maintenance worker at Word of Life INN. The Lord taught me valuable lessons about maintaining the property and learning leadership principals working with young people. In 2005 I was introduced to Nehemiah Network and met Ron Morton while servicing our swimming pool and he encouraged me to join the team and the rest of my story is being written right now.
We have 3 children, Abigail, Molly, and Benjamin.
