Many seasonal staff are needed during the summer to operate Word of Life Camps and Conference Centers.
Through the Summer Training Corps (STC) Program more than 400
young people invest their time each summer at Word of Life to
serve and minister to the over 10,000 guests who attend Word
of Life each year.
Word of Life operates four facilities in New York's scenic Adirondack
Mountains and two facilities in sunny central Florida.
In New York we have the Inn & Conference Center for adults,
Word of Life Island for teens 14 to 18, the Ranch-Ranger Complex
for youth ages 6 to 13 and the Family Campground, which includes
cabins and RV/tent sites.
In Florida we have the Youth Camp for children and teens ages
6 to 18 and the Conference Center for adults.
This program will challenge you through Bible Study, Scripture
memory and a daily Quiet Time. There is also great fun and fellowship
through water sports, games, special events and social activities.
We have a wide variety of work areas in which you may be able
to participate.
Lifeguard, boat driver, stable hand, bookstore, office work,
food services, maintenance, nursery, housekeeping, and waitressing
are just a few of the positions available.
A weekly stipend to cover incidental expenses is paid
to each STCer. Your room and board is provided.
Word of Life Bible Institute offers a scholarship for students who complete STC following their Junior and/or Senior years of high school!!

How much is the scholarship?
Students get $1000 for the summer following their Junior year, and $2000 for the summer following their Senior year.
Do I receive the scholarship for working at any Word of Life Camp?
You can qualify for the scholarship if you work at any of the five camps in the continental United States.
How long do I have to work each summer?
The scholarship is awarded based on completion of 8 weeks of STC for the Junior and Senior summers.
What do I have to do to get the scholarship when I come to the Bible Institute?
Collect the certificates that are sent to you for each summer. Turn these certificates in along with your Scholarship Application for the year you plan to attend the Bible Institute, and fill out the STC section of the Scholarship Application.
I have other scholarships for the Bible Institute, can I still use my STC scholarship?
STC Scholarships cannot be combined in the same school year with Reachout scholarships, but if you want to use your STC scholarship for your 1st year, you can reserve your Reachout scholarship for the 2nd year program. STC is compatible with all other scholarships.
