Mike Calhoun Vice President of Local Church Ministries
I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama where I was saved at the age of 12 and felt God's call to preach at age 14. My passion is preaching and teaching young people and adults about evangelism and discipleship. God allows me to travel, ministering to our staff and church leaders. My wife, Betsi, and I have been married for 30 years and have 3 children. |

Because of the influence of my grandfather , a neighbor lady and some older women in my church, I accepted Christ as my personal Savior at age 16. I attended the Word of Life Bible Institute and was accepted on staff after graduation. Being a part of the Word of Life ministry has influenced my life tremendously through hearing great speakers and through personal friends who have kept me accountable. I came across a quote by Oswald Chambers that has helped me understand a little better how I can be an influencer in the lives of others.

I was raised in the home of a Word of Life Area Missionary where my Mom led me to the Lord when I was 4. During my summer ministry for my 2nd year at Word of Life Bible Institute I told God I would do whatever He wanted with my life. Through my years here at Word of Life, God has given me opportunity to pursue my passion for ministering to young people through the camping ministry and opportunities to speak and to train youth leaders across the country. My wife Cathy and I are the parents of 3 children--Cody, Denae and Austin. |

I grew up in Ohio where at age 6 I trusted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at an after-school Bible Club. At 12 I dedicated my life to the Lord, with a desire to one day be involved in ministry. Experiencing God's protection and provision over the years, God has now allowed my husband Don and I to fulfill that desire together here at Word of Life. It's exciting to see God open doors of opportunity and allow us use the skills He has given us to minister to and serve others. Don and I have 2 children, Tim (married to Kelly) and Heather.

My wife Sue and I were saved at an evangelistic crusade in 1976, after which we attended the Word of Life Bible Institute. The Lord gave me a passion to live the II Timothy 2:2 principle, faithful men teaching faithful men. Since 1980 I have been involved in discipling leaders and missionaries, and presently I am the coordinator of the Internship Discipleship Program (IDP), which trains young men for the mission field. |

I grew up in northern New Jersey in a Christian family, and my Mom led me to the Lord when I was six years old, after an evangelistic meeting at our church. I dedicated my life to whatever the Lord would have for me at a Christian camp in New Hampshire when I was 14. I feel blessed to serve Him here, as the Gospel is shared through many facets of Word of Life! I also love the fact that people of all ages are encouraged and helped to grow in the Lord after they are saved. The icing on the cake, is that my very best friendships have been made during the 25 years I have been here at Word of Life!

I had the privilege of growing up in a Pastor's home with parents who loved the Lord and as a result I accepted Christ as my personal Savior at a young age. I was able to attend a Christian school for most of my life as well as being able to graduate from Cedarville College. I have been on staff with Word of Life for 8 years and look forward to many more years of serving HIM in this great ministry. My wife Dawn and I have three children-- Emma, Liam, and Chloe. |

Don Reichard Curriculum Manager
I was saved at the age of 20 through the witness of a co-worker while serving in the United States Air Force. I was discipled and grew in my walk with the Lord over the next several years and had the opportunity to minister for 14 years to children and teens. While serving as Youth Director at a Word of Life Club in New Jersey, the Lord called me to full time Christian service. I retired from a career of developing curriculum for the Air Force and joined Word of Life in 2000. I am challenged daily to develop new ways to help the ministry move forward in the area of curriculum to reach more young people with the Gospel. My wife Lisa and I are the parents of three children?Andrew, Alexander and Elissa. |

I was born in Akron, Ohio and at the age of 16 through the witness of friends I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior instead of as a religious fact of history. After graduation from Cedarville College (University) the Lord has used my wife and I in many ways to impact the lives of youth from grade school through college age. And now the Lord has brought us to Word of Life to not only help develop curriculum to impact youth all over the world, but to also help smooth the way for Area Missionaries to impact youth as well. I am proud to be on this team that has such a burden to see young people get saved and grow in their knowledge and walk with the Savior!

We met at Philadelphia School of the Bible and were marrried in Delaware in The Kings College Chapel over fifty years ago. Our plans to go to the mission field of Iran changed when our mission board's doctor recommended that they not send us. During our careers as a college librarian and a first grade teacher we raised three daughters (one now a missionary in France) and served the Lord in several youth ministries. We thank the Lord that He has now given us the health, strength and opportunity to contribute the talents He has given us to Word of Life. |

I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior at the age of 8. When high school came along, I realized the importance of not just knowing that I was going to heaven, but that I was called to live a life pleasing and glorifying to the Lord! I decided I would attend Word of Life Bible Institute, and there I was taught that serving God was the only thing that was eternal. I will be graduating the 2nd year program at the Bible Institute this August 2006, and cannot wait to see what the Lord will continue to teach me as I work in and with local churches.

I trusted Christ as my Savior while I was in junior high in Texas. At the age of 15 my family and I moved to California where I attended West Coast Camp. There I made the decision to dedicate my life completely to Christ and follow wherever He led. After high school I attended the Bible Institute and it helped me grow in my desire to serve the Lord. My husband Josh and I are now preparing to serve Christ as missionaries with Local Church Ministries

I was born in Bloomsburg, PA. Later on my family moved to Schroon Lake, NY so my Dad could work for WOL Maintenance. While attending the WOL Ranch I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart at the age of 7,and at 16 I dedicated my life to Christ. Now at 19 the Lord has taught me many things and one of them is to trust Jesus in every part of my life. I can't do it all on my own strength. I need Jesus Christ. One of my life verses is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strentheneth me." |
