frequently asked questions

Q: How many students are in a dorm room?
A: Some have room for four people, some six.

Q: Will I have access to the Internet?
A: Yes, through the computer lab, and most dorms have the capability for connecting to the network.

Q: Should I bring a computer?
A: Although not necessary, a computer would be helpful for word processing, research, and e-mail. Computers are not provided, however there is a computer lab available to students throughout the week. If you would like to bring a computer you may do so. We do have a campus network, and as long as your computer meets the requirements you will be able to be connected to it. Please e-mail our helpdesk at help@helpdesk.wol.org for further information.

Q: Can I have a refrigerator or microwave in my room?
A: Yes, but keep in mind that space is limited.

Q: What is the dress code like?
A: Modesty and neatness would be key concepts. Class dress involves a skirt for female students and a shirt and tie for male students.

Q: What ministries are available?
A: Musical groups, drama, prison ministry, local church ministry, sports ministries, children clubs, and street witnessing to name a representative few.

Q: Do I have an option for summer ministry other than Word of Life camps?
A: Exceptions are considered based on prior ministry at the desired camp.

Q: What is the cost of tuition/room and board for one year?
A: Please see our Cost page for the most current information.

Q: What financial aid is available?
A: See our Financial Aid page.

Q: What degree will I have upon graduation?
Q: Do my credits transfer to other colleges?

A: Word of Life Bible Institute is an accredited non-degree granting institution. Up to two years of course work is recognized by several Christian colleges depending on the anticipated course of study and academic record.
