Wanted to say hello to all:) - Posted: May 16, 2008   by stephanie wilcox - 1992
Hi everyone!!!!Wanted to say a quick hello....this board hasn't been active in a few weeks. I want to agree in prayer especially for people over in China, and Myanmar. If something isn't going well for us here in the states, we tend to complain to God....we/I.... These and so many others have no food, water, shelter, health care...parents...NOTHING. God is so good to us, and we are always blessed, sometimes from personal experience I know it's hard to smile in adversity...cheer up..GOD is in control!!!!! I love you all, and anyone who wants to email me, please feel free. God bless from the Shenandoah mtns in Virginia, Stephanie Wilcox peffy682004@hotmail.com

New Tribes wants you - Posted: April 25, 2008   by Russ and Brenda (Butler) Nelson - 1989 , 1990
Interested in putting your trade or professional skills immediately to use without having to learn a language or spend more time in colleges? Is there more to life than just getting a better car, bigger house and helping out in Sunday School? We URGENTLY need support workers and short termers (NTM Associate program) in PNG especially in the positions of teachers, nurses, computer support, pilots, aircraft mechanics, maintenance and secretarial. Exciting opportunities here in Papua New Guinea as the Gospel continues to go out to unevangelized language groups through the dedication of tribal language teams but more and more of them are having to be pulled back into critical support roles as needs remain. If you have kids, there's not a better and more adventurous place they could grow up at with an outstanding Christian school, teachers and friends. Whether you can stay for a year or a lifetime, we need people who want to serve and make a difference for eternity by helping us to help reach the unreached. We sold our house last year and came in faith in October and I'm working fixing PC hardware and software and network (Linux servers, Windows workstations for over 500 users). Is the work here easy? You can guess the answer to that. Will you know the contentment of leaving behind mediocrity and the "rat race" and trading up for contentment in doing all you can to help reach the lost? Most definitely. My wife (Brenda, class of '90) and I (class of '90 Australia, SYM '90 US) and our two young girls are glad we came and love working here. There's over 800 languages here in PNG (more than any other single country in the world). You might immediately think you could never come here or be as happy here. But if you're willing to "Go", God WILL make the way. You're already qualified to help in some way, if you're willing to consider helping here short-term or just have questions, please email me at rbnelrbnels@yahoo.com.au and check out where you fit in at http://www.ntm.org/ go/associates.php? Come on along! Papua New Guinea is one great place to live and serve our Saviour. :)

Married to Penny, living in Epsom, NH. Penny teaches 2nd grade, but is retiring at the end of this school year. We look after a friend who is autistic, retarded and blind. We've been friends for about 15 years, and he's lived with for the most part, for about 12 years. We run a business making hand-made shoes, and try to cater to the re- enactment croud. I make shoes from 17th century and 18th century, with the occasional modern shoe thrown in to boot (pun intended). We've been affiliated with Camp Pinnacle, which is in the Helderberg Mts. The camp director was a roommate during my first semester at WOL. We've been volunteering there for a few years, and have built a small barn and a timber framed warming shed for the tubing hill. Penny and I also put out a sort-of- monthly newspaper called the Gossville Gazette. The Gazette has a different alias each month - one month it was aka the Epsom Monotone, another was the Epson Plagairist, while still another was aka the Epsom Deadbeat. It's kind of fun to do, but doesn't pay anything. Anyway, it'd be fun to contact some old friends, if any read this and want to contact us. email: hidesmith@aol.com

Hi all! I have a friend who is needing to go to drug rehab. She is saved but has always struggled w/ drugs. Right now she is in CT. I'm looking for a Christian Rehab. center. Can anyone recommend? I have been looking all over the internet but I want to know I can trust the center she goes to. We grew up together and she is more like a sister to me. Any suggestions or places I can look would be a BIG help. Email me at ERICAM0625@yahoo.com please! Thanks so much! Erica Matthews
